Lucien Malson
  • Lucien Malson, Ph.D., closely followed the flowering of this world-renowned style of music, and was himself an important player on the jazz scene.
    Creator of a jazz bureau, producer of national and international concerts, and of several series of jazz programs - Jazz dans la nuit  (Jazz in the Night, France Inter), le Club du jazz (France musique), Black and Blue (France Culture), Malson, a member of the Charles-Cros Academy, was the first jazz columnist for the daily newspaper Le Monde.
    Member of the editorial quartet (along with André Hodeir, Frank Ténot and Boris Vian) of the journal Jazz hot, collaborator on Jazz Magazine, he went on to keep an eye on the fate of the Cahiers du jazz, which was his brainchild.
