Marie Chaix

• Marie Chaix is the sister of French chanteuse Anne Sylvestre. For almost 4 years, she was Barbara’s assistant, accompanying her on tour, sharing her life. Her literary work is centered on the theme of Memory.
  Among other works, she has written Les Lauriers du Lac de Constance (The Laurels of Constance Lake, Le Seuil, 1974); Juliette, Chemin des Cerisiers (Juliet, the Cherry Tree Path, Le Seuil, 1985), Barbara (Calmann-Lévy 1986) Le Fils de Marthe (Martha’s Son, Calmann-Lévy, 1990) and The Elderberry Tree Summer, Le Seuil, 2005).
