Svetlan Savov

• Svetlan Savov was born in Bulgaria in 1964. As a teen, he dreamed of reaching the America he read about in books, the land of Scott Fitzgerald and Hemingway. But when the iron curtain finally parted, in 1990, he was turned down by the Americans.  France, however, was granting visas. Never mind… he was off to France with $50 in his pocket. Five years later, Gaspard Nocturne published his poignant narrative, Noël ensemble (Christmas Together; re-released in France by Noir sur Blanc).
  Savov lives in the Paris area.
