• The author is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. Having worked for many years on the phenomena of addiction, he has previously written Nous sommes tous dépendants (Odile Jacob, 2001). He has lead many seminaries at the Ecole freudienne de Paris, de Confrontation, the collège de Psychanalystes, the collège international de Philosophie, and the Institut de Psychanalyse.
