Gaétan Soucy
  • Gaétan Soucy was born in 1958 into a large family in a working-class neighborhood in Montreal. As a teenager, he was drawn to the work of Edgar Allan Poe, Albert Camus, Jean-Paul Sartre and Samuel Beckett. Although he started out studying science, he later switched to literature and philosophy, which he taught until his death. Gaétan Soucy is the author of several novels, among which La petite fille qui aimait trop les allumettes.
