Florence Burgat

• Florence Burgat is a philosopher, and director of research at the INRA. She works on phenomenological approaches to animal life, particularly in terms of the ethics of our relationship to animals. Her previous books: 'Animal mon prochain' ('Animal, My Neighbor', Odile Jacob, 1997), which won the Académie française Biguet Prize, and 'Une autre existence' ('Another Existence', Albin Michel, 2012).
