Laurent Sagalovitsch

• Laurent Sagalovitsch, born in Montreuil – just outside of Paris – in 1967, has lived in Vancouver since 2009. He was a book reviewer for the French daily Libération, and the weekly newsmagazines Inrocks and L’Évènement du jeudi. All of his books have been published by Actes Sud: from Dade City (1996) to the last tome of his trilogy, Un juif en cavale (A Jew on the Run, 2013). In 1997 he received a grant from the Hachette Foundation for La Canne de Virginia (Virginia’s Cane, 1998). Since July 2011, he has had a blog on slate.fr: You will never hate alone.
