Fatima Daas
-
Fatima Daas was born in 1995. She grew up in Clichy-sous-Bois, a working-class suburb where her parents have lived since they immigrated from Algeria. The last child in a large family, she began to rebel in her early teens, demanding the right to express her own ideas. That was when she began writing. In high school, she participated in workshops led by the award-winning writer Tanguy Viel. Encouraged by both Viel and her French teacher, she entered the University of Paris 8’s Literary Creation Master’s Degree program. Influenced by Marguerite Duras and Virginie Despentes, she identifies as an intersectional feminist.
