Ludmila Charles

• Ludmila Charles was born in 1967 to a Slovakian mother and a French father. She teaches literature at the University of Tours (Loire Valley). She has written two non-fiction books, one about Victor Hugo and the other about poetry. She has also edited an annotated edition of Hugo’s Contemplations. She lives in Paris. La Belle Saison is her debut novel.
